The Town of Albion is a Town Meeting-Selectboard form of government. This form of government relies on a three-member selectboard to function as the executive arm administering, enforcing, and carrying out the decisions made by the town meeting.

The three-member elected Board also serves as Albion’s governing body on matters that are not statutorily required to be approved by the voters. The Board’s duties include recommending a budget and most ordinances for voter consideration, approving expenditures and Town policies, appointing members to Town boards and committees.  The Board has also appointed a town administrator/administrative assistant to assist with many of the administrative duties.
